Suze has been a Geek most of her life. She started out as a Band Geek in high school. While many of her classmates were partying like crazy, Suze was hanging out in her rec room with other band geeks, jamming till all hours of the night. The Geekiness continued when Suze became a TV Geek in college, spending most of her days and nights in edit suites, control rooms and studios instead of bars (mostly because she was too young to get in and partly because she’s such a Geek).
After college, Suze spent seven years Geeking Out in the television industry as a producer for the local cable station in Ottawa. Then, in 1997 she decided to take her Geekiness to a whole new level by going back to school and learning about computers. Her Geek Meter hit “11″ when she discovered the Internet in 1998 and she’s been a GeekGrl ever since, working as a web designer, teacher, communicator and writer.
These days, Suze is Head Geek at Jester Creative Inc., where she and her business partner design web sites and produce television shows and various other video projects.
Suze hopes that she can help inspire other women to “get their Geek on” through the GeekGrls podcast.
When she’s not being a GeekGrl, Suze can be found lurking about at her blog Suzemuse, and on Twitter at http://twitter.com/suzemuse.
